The invention relates to distribution of a plastics material of the butyl rubber type and, more precisely, to the production and transport thereof from a container in which it is present in hard, viscous form at a relatively low temperature to an extrusion die in which its viscosity and hardness should be much lower than at the start. According to the invention, a multi-stage production is proposed, in which stages heating and pressure are combined, the plastics material being able to be fed at the desired flow rate and in the desired form to a possibly moving die. The invention is suitable for the production of a strip which can be used as a seal and an intermediate piece in multi-layered glass. <IMAGE> |
