A device for moving a flax straw layer with a carrying frame equipped with a three-point tractor catch and copy wheels characterized by the fact that the carrying frame (1) which has a shape of a horizontally situated rectangle which at the front has a horizontal axle (3) placed crosswise to the working direction of the mover with copy wheels (4) mounted to it, whereas behind the axle (3) and parallel to it a drum is placed (5) which is equipped with bearings in the carrying frame (1). The drum is equipped with moving fingers (6) situated radially and bent at their ends in the direction opposite to the direction of the drum's rotation (5) and at the same time between circumferential rows of moving fingers (6) there are shields (7) fixed to the carrying frame (1), situated below the drum (5) and at the bottom situated above ends of the moving fingers (6) and then rising curvedly backwards. At the back the shields entirely cover the moving fingers (6), furthermore the axle (3) of the copy wheels (4) is coupled with the drum (5) by a string transmission (8) which provides for a tangential velocity Vk of the copy wheels (4) to the tangential velocity Vp of ends of the moving fingers as <IMAGE><IMAGE>
