PURPOSE:To impart a transfer recording image excellent in blocking resistance, fixing properties due to low temp. melting and scratch resistance by adding a resin obtained by reacting a polyvalent metal compound with a copolymer of a styrenic monomer, a (meth)acrylic ester monomer and a vinyl monomer having a carboxyl group. CONSTITUTION:A resin obtained by reacting a polyvalent metal compound with a copolymer of a styrenic monomer, a (meth)acrylic ester monomer and a vinyl monomer having a carboxyl group is contained. A thermal transfer recording material is formed by forming an ink layer on a support. The above mentioned resin has at least one max. value within a range of 2X10<3>-8X10<3> and at least one max. value within a range of 10<5>-2X10<6> in the MW distribution curve measured by gel permeation chromatography. The resin obtained by the reaction of the copolymer with the polyvalent metal compound is in such a state that a kind of metal ion crosslinking is applied and the glass transition temp. of the resin is enhanced by intramolecular or intermolecular crosslinking through the metal ion and blocking resistance at room temp. is enhanced. |
