<p>PURPOSE:To reduce deterioration without reducing an emitting light intensity by setting special relationship among a time from application of a driving pulse to an EL element to arrival of the intensity of the emitting light at a peak, a time from the peak to '0', and a time from start of application of one driving pulse to start of next application. CONSTITUTION:When a time from application of one driving pulse to an end face light emission type EL element to arrival of the intensity of an emitting light at a peak is Tta, a time from peak of the intensity of the light to the element to '0' is Tts, and a time from start of application of one driving pulse to the element to start of next application of the pulse is Ths, relationship of Tts>=Ths>=Tta is satisfied. Thus, since the application of the pulse is started while the after light of the previous light emitting exists, the intensity of the emitting light of the element can be improved. Further, the rise of the frequency of the pulse more than required is prevented to satisfactorily improve the intensity of the light.</p> |
