PURPOSE:To realize a small sized transmitter-receiver with broad directivity by interposing a light shielding plate between a transmission optical unit and a reception optical unit. CONSTITUTION:The light shielding plate 11 is a metallic disk interposed between a transmission optical unit 12 (light emitting diode of an optical transmission board 14) and a light receiving unit 13 (PIN photodiode of a light receiving board 16) and an outer circumference part of the light shielding plate 11 is an umbrella shaped part 11A tilted obliquely downward from a horizontal direction. The optical transmission unit 12 and the light receiving unit 13 are optically isolated by the light shielding plate 11 and the light emitted from the optical transmission unit 12 is shielded by the light shielding plate 11 and radiates widely to the light receiving unit of other optical transmitters-receivers arranged decentralizingly without being directly received by its own light receiving unit 13. Thus, the optical transmission unit 12 and the light receiving unit 13 are arranged integrally and the transmitter-receiver with a small size and wide directivity is realized.
