PURPOSE:To transfer an uneven pattern to the surface of an adherend using a flat surface mold by using a high pressure polyethylene film having special crosslinked constitution and having an uneven pattern applied thereto at room temp. as a carrier film. CONSTITUTION:The carrier film of a stamping foil 50 used in a stamping method pressing the stamping foil to an adherend a part thereof to the adherend is formed from a crosslinked stretched film made of high density polyethylene and having a structure lowered in crosslinking density toward the inside in the thickness direction of the film or forming a non-crosslinked part. For example, the stamping foil 50 is passed between a press roll 9 and an emboss roll 10 and embossed at room temp. to be formed into a foil 500 having an uneven pattern. This foil 500 is inserted in the gap between the adherend 4 and a mold 100 whose contact surface with the foil 500 is flat so that the carrier film is turned upwardly and pressed to the adherend to make it possible to transfer the uneven pattern to the surface of the adherend 4. The mold 100 may be heated to carry out thermal transfer. |
