PURPOSE:To suppress speed electromotive force to be induced in each phase coil of an armature coil by splitting a phase coil array of a plurality of phases, constituting an armature coil in a feeder section, into a plurality of independent phase units which divide that phase into electrically equal parts and constituting circuitry for feeding each phase unit with power independently. CONSTITUTION:A current type converter 17a is connected with one feeder 13a and each of a plurality of branch lines 18a connected with the feeder 13a is connected through a thyristor switch 19a with one phase coil array 12a of an armature coil 11 in each of branch sections juxtaposed in the longitudinal direction. In similar manner, the other current type converter 17b is connected with the other feeder 13b thence connected with the other phase coil array 12b of the armature coil 11 for each branch section. Consequently, one phase coil arrays 12a of a plurality of adjacent armature coils 11 are subjected to common power supply control by means of the current type converter 17a for the system (a) in every other feeder section, whereas the other phase coil arrays 12b are subjected to common power supply control by means of the current type converter 17b for the system (b). |
