PURPOSE:To allow adaptation to various and diversified electrocardiogram waveforms with higher detection accuracy of R waves by controlling a comparison reference voltage to be inputted into a comparing section which outputs an R wave detection signal of an electrocardiogram in details, utilizing the maximum value of the R waves to be outputted from a filter. CONSTITUTION:A maximum voltage holder 6 holds a maximum value voltage of an R wave selected from among electrocardiogram voltages to be outputted from a filter 2 and the voltage is outputted to an attenuator 5. Then, the attenuator 5 attenuates an output of the maximum voltage holder 6 by a specified value to generate a reference comparison voltage. which is inputted into a comparator 3. Then, a central processing section 7 performs a processing such as calculation of the number of heart beats by an R wave detection signal which is turned to a pulse signal with a fixed width by a pulse generator 4 after outputted from the comparator 3. |
