PURPOSE:To obtain a titled device capable of accurately and quickly adjusting a ratch position by connecting an auxiliary cylinder for adjusting ratch position to a traversing cylinder, in a roll rearrangement by a ratch of mill sled and a ratch of traversing cylinder axis. CONSTITUTION:The ratch 15a of a sled 13 for mounting a roll assembly on an equalizer beam 10b is pushed up by a push-up device 14, and the ratch 15b of the front end of the shaft 17a of a double-action traversing cylinder 17 is advanced to a prescribed position. A hydraulic pressure is applied to the oil chamber 20b of an auxiliary cylinder 20 by a solenoid valve 23, to apply the hydraulic pressure to a cylinder chamber 17b for retreating the ratch 15b by a prescribed distance DELTAS. In this way, an abnormal engagement between the ratches 15a, 15b is prevented, and both ratches 15a, 15b are well engaged with each other by lowering the device 14. The sled 13 is drawn out by the retreating action of cylinder 17. Thus the ratch engagement is always accurately performed by only actuating the cylinder 20, and the sled is quickly drawn out and pushed in. |
