PURPOSE:To prevent different-color light from passing through a liquid crystal shutter of one picture element by joining a color filter which is classified by plural colors every one-picture-element unit of a liquid crystal shutter on one surface of a liquid crystal panel where liquid crystal shutters are arrayed in matrix while the color filter is displaced in the plane direction according to a viewing direction. CONSTITUTION:The color filter 7 which is classified by the primary colors, i.e. red(R), green(G), and blue(B) is joined with the back surface of the liquid crystal panel 5 while its center is displaced upward about the center of the liquid crystal panel 6. Therefore, only one color of the color filter 7 can be set opposite a picture element of a liquid crystal shutter 5 in a visual field even when the liquid crystal display element 8 is viewed from slantingly below, not to mention a case wherein the eye 12 of a viewer faces the front center part of the liquid crystal display element 8. Consequently, different-color light is prevented from passing through a liquid crystal shutter 5 of one picture element. |
