Valve seat machining devices have a lockable and universally pivotable swivelling ball (17) with a guide sleeve (1) in which a spindle (26) which can be rotated and axially shifted is fitted to act as a guide pin (26). The spindle (26) bears a chuck (28) in which a turning tool can be clamped at an oblique angle to the spindle axis. The device is designed to determine and monitor the feed rate of the spindle (26) on such a valve seat machining device. To this end, the device has means (3, 7, 9, 10, 22-24) movably secured on the guide sleeve (1) which hold the spindle (26) so that it is axially movable and adjusters (4-6) to determine and limit the axial movability of the spindle (26) in the feed direction in relation to the guide sleeve (1). |
