Universal propulsive equipment devised through the application of superconduction. Strong Lorentz force is produced by applying a magnetic field created by a superconductive magnet, which is placed in a fixed position relative to a normal conductor through which a current flows, to the normal conductor. The force is utilized, for example, as a force levitating a transporting means. However, since the superconductive magnet has a characteristic suppressing the counteraction of Lorentz force, it is possible that the normal conductor is not separated from the superconductive magnet. This characteristic is theoretically explained with London equation. |
