MANUFACTURE OF METALLIZED FILM CAPACITOR

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve electrical and mechanical reliability of external electrodes and lands by polishing the surface of leadout electrodes formed by metalicon at both end surfaces of capacitor element and then forming an external electrode by immersing the capacitor into melted solder bath after coating of the flux. CONSTITUTION:A leadout electrode 2 formed by metalicon at both ends of a capacitor element l is polished as the mirror surface. Next, it is coated with a water-soluble flux. After five seconds from the coating, the composition of solder of solder bath is tin : lead = 6 : 4, and capacitor is immersed for two seconds under the liquid temperature of 200 deg.C and thereafter it is taken out. Thereby, the air part is not provided at the surface of external electrode 11 and therefore the interior is not oxidized continuously. A capacitor forming external electrodes 11 is immsered into hydrocarbon halogenide such as 1-1-1 trichloroethane and fourine group solvent and is cleaned in the ultrasonic cleaner to remove water-soluble flux so that adverse effect on the other electronic parts can be prevented on the substrate after the mounting.
