The line pans of the conveyor, which is used in mining, are connected together end-to-end by couplings (8, 9) and fastening device (10). The couplings consist of two parts attached to or integral with opposed ends of the line pan runners. One part (8) has a tongue (11) and the other part has a recess (13). The fastening device (10) consists of a ring formed of two U-shaped members (20) which pass through eyes (18) in the coupling parts (8, 9) and a clamping device (22) which is two plates one on top of the other lying transversely of the ring and holding the ends of each ring portion (20) captive in recesses (27). The coupling can be quickly and easily assembled and dismantled when necessary. The ring members (20) cannot accidentally slip out of the eyes which form robust anchorages. <IMAGE> |
