PURPOSE:To prevent a slender fitting from colliding against a forming mold and from rubbing against each other by lowering this fitting in a state wherein the positions of the upper and lower ends of the fitting are specified and inserting it into this mold when the slender fitting is inserted into the mold having an engaging hole part which is engaged with this fitting without almost causing a gap and performs positioning. CONSTITUTION:A fitting 20 is held in the position capable of being inserted into a forming mold 14. A supporting pin 38 fixed to a first movable body 26 is inserted into the mold 14 and allowed to abut against the lower end of the fitting and supported. A fitting receiver 42 is provided to a second movable body 28. This fitting receiver inserts and holds the upper end part of the fitting into an engaging hole while holding a prescribed gap to the part upper than the upper end of the mold. The second movable body is lowered to insert the fitting into the engaging hole. Just before the face of the upper end abuts against the fitting receiver, a stroke bar 50 whose lower end is fixed to the first movable body abuts against a block 52 provided to the second movable body. Approach of the first and second movable bodies is inhibited. Then while the fitting is supported by a supporting pin and the fitting receiver, the first and second movable bodies are lowered and the fitting is inserted into a forming mold. |
