PURPOSE:To give a printing image with excellent heat transfer property at the time of high density printing and high speed printing, and with high resolution even to a paper with low smoothness by a method wherein an over-coat layer consists of a copolymer between vinyl-toluene or vinyl-xylene and butadiene, and particle state ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer. CONSTITUTION:For a heat transfer recording medium which has a release layer 2, hot-melt type ink layer 3 and over-coat layer 4 on a heat resistant supporting body 1, the over-coat layer 4 consists of a copolymer between vinyl- toluene or vinyl-xylene and butadiene, and particle state ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer. The composition ratio between the copolymer of vinyl-toluene or vinyl-xylene and butadiene, and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer is in a range of 8:2-2:8, or preferably, in a range of 7:3-4:6. |
