The chair has a seat squab-support in the form of a carriage (3) which moves into a forward position offset from the sub-frame (1), and has a back rest (9) which is mounted rotatably on lateral pivoting arms (8). The backrest (9) transfers into the plane occupied by the carriage (3) and into a forward offset position. When the unit functions as a chair the arms (8) extend between pin joints at the head of the back rest (9) and at the rear of the carriage (3). The carriage and the seat both have legs (2, 10) which provide support during the bed function. |
