PURPOSE:To prevent a short circuit of a single cell while preventing generation of electric field corrosion of a collector and a negative electrode by constituting so as to release contact of a collector with a positive electrode at the time of non-generation. CONSTITUTION:In order to make a non-generation state, a pump 54 is stopped and a clamping equipment is released. When restriction is released, connection units 104 and 105 are extended by spring force of the connecting units 104 and 105 so that bipolar collectors 24 fixed to the collector fixing parts inside the case units 102 and 103 are separated from the positive electrodes 21b of single cells fixed to the single cell fixing parts of the neighboring other case units 101 and 102. As a result, anolyte remains inside the anolyte chambers 41... so as to electrically separate the bipolar collectors 24 from the positive electrodes 21b even if the anolyte discharge passages 104a and 105a are in a wet state by anolyte thus no circuit to short-circuit single cells is formed. |
