The tank (1) is designed for use in water treatment works. It is fed by a duct (45), and emptied by the submerged opening (27), with a covering flap (39) open. A grid (45) removes coarse material. To clean the grid (45), the flap (39) is closed and the tank is emptied, either by pumping or drianage. When the water level is lowered, the flap (39) is opened and the stored column of water back flushes the grid and also cleans the base of tank. USE - Cleaning storage tanks for water treatment works.
