The transportable work-platform (4) is mounted on a frame (2) which is equipped with wheels (3). The platform (4) is supported by two telescopic hydraulic cylinders (5,6) which have their lower ends pivoted to opposite ends of the frame (2) and their upper ends pivoted to opposite ends of the platform (4). The telescopic cylinders (5,6) are stabilised by two small auxiliary cylinders (20,21) which operate at the same hydraulic pressure as the telescopic cylinders. An additional stabilising device is provided by two rods (18,19) each of which has one end pivoted to the upper end of a telescopic cylinder, and the other end pivoted to a link (17) which is pivoted to the underside of the platform (4).
