<p>PURPOSE:To easily search a still picture signal by dividing one still picture signal data into plural blocks equal to recorded track number or over, dividing picture element data being components of a still picture data in each block uniformly and recording the data. CONSTITUTION:A video signal by one frame to be recorded is divided into plural blocks and processed by a digital data processing circuit 25. That is, 480 lines of a digital video signal of one frame are formed in the vertical direction, 768 picture elements are formed in each horizontal line, one block is formed by 144 picture elements comprising 12X12 in vertical and horizontal directions, 40 blocks of 0-39th block are arranged in the vertical direction, and 64 blocks of 0-63rd block are arranged in the horizontal direction, and the frame is divided in total 2560 (=40X64) blocks. Then the digital data processing circuit 25 outputs the 144 picture elements forming one block so that they are recorded on different tracks. Then the sequence of reading a data of each picture element from each block is decided by shuffling. Thus, search of a still picture is attained even when the picture for only part of the period is reproduced.</p> |
