In the high-pressure metal-halide discharge lamp (14) for stage, film and TV lighting systems, the discharge bulb (15) contains, in addition to mercury, at least one noble gas, caesium and dysprosium halide, in particular nickel halide and, optionally, gadolinium halide as filling. Advantageously, the bulb volume contains per cm<3> 0.03 to 3 mg of dysprosium, 0.002 to 0.5 mg of nickel and, optionally, 0.002 to 0.1 mg of gadolinium. The halogens used for the halide compounds are iodine and bromine in a molar ratio of between 0.2 and 1.5. The metals nickel and gadolinium limit the drop in colour temperature over the mean service life of the lamp (14) to not more than 1 K per operating hour. …<IMAGE>… |
