Cornea unevenness measurement and display - by computer graphics using digital reflected image data input

Cornea unevenness measurement and display process involves producing a specific image in the eye by means of an illuminated reflection disc. recording the image reflected by the eye in a video camera and simultaneously digitising the image with a mullimetre rule as measuring scale, and then feeding the image data to a computer for processing and three-dimensional graphic reproduiction. Appts. for carrying out the process is also claimed, the equipment including a light guide ring (5, 6) and a reflection disc (4) pref. made of plexiglass. ADVANTAGE - Allows precise evaluation of new and previously existing unevenness of the cornea for determining the necessity for remedial treatment. (8pp Dwg.No.1/6)
