PURPOSE:To prevent the falling of the grains of a gas adsorbent and to improve the handleability of the filter by sticking the grains to a grillwork filter base body and covering the base body with a highly permeable net cover of a hot- melt fiber. CONSTITUTION:The grains 14 of a gas adsorbent (e.g. activated carbon) are stuck to a grillwork filter base body 12, and the base body 12 is covered with a highly permeable net cover 22 of a hot-melt fiber. A heat-sealed lug 24 is formed at the periphery of the cover 22 on the side part of the base body 12. The thickness of the base body 12 is controlled to <= about 15mm, the area of one cell of the grillwork base body 12 to about 0.20-0.35cm<2>, the size of the grain 14 to about 20-60 mesh, the amt. of the grains 14 to be used per unit are of the base body 12 to about 400-2000g/m<2> and the rate of hole area of this filter to about 50-80%. Consequently, the falling of the grains is prevented, and the handleability is improved. |
