PURPOSE:To correct displacement of an A/D value due to deterioration with age by providing a gate for short-circuiting a signal of a knocking sensor. CONSTITUTION:A gate 9 for short-circuiting an output signal A of a knocking sensor 2 is provided for short-circuiting an input signal by outputting a signal C for opening the gate 9 from a CPU8, and an A/D value B at this time serves as a reference at no knocking time to perform A/D conversion at knocking signal inputting time. Displacement of the A/D value B at no knocking time can be corrected by periodically repeating this operation in the above. In this way, the displacement of the A/D value B due to aged deterioration can be corrected.
