FAR INFRARED RADIATION PANEL HEATER

PURPOSE:To make it possible to raise the temperature of the lower part of a room by forming a gap between a surface heating element and a metallic heat diffusion plate when the surface heating element is energized and moving the surface heating element toward the heat diffusion plate when electricity is turned off. CONSTITUTION:A latent heat storing material 10 is superposed on a surface heating element 1, while a thin film 3 of far infrared high radiation material is bonded to the surface of a heat diffusion plate of metal 2 in a gap 11. The plate 2 and the film 3 are fixed to the underside of a frame 9 attached to the ceiling 5 and the element 1 and the material 10 are supported by the frame 9 through spring-shaped shape memory alloys 6a. The shape memory alloys 6a are, for example, contract at 37 deg.C and extends at 35 deg.C. The heat converted from night-time electricity in the element 1 is stored in the material 10 to extend the alloys 6a so that the heat of the material 10 is trandferred to the plate 2, whereby far infrared rays are radiated into a room from the film 3 of far infrared high radiation material to heat the room in the daytime.
