PURPOSE:To prevent a user from being injured by the edge part of a photosensitive belt by coating not only the surface of an endless belt made of a metallic film whose thickness is about 10-60mum but also the edge parts on both sides of the belt with a photosensitive body so that they may be covered therewith or providing offset stopping guides provided at both edge parts of the belt so that they may protrude from the edge parts. CONSTITUTION:The endless belt 21 is made of the metallic film whose thickness is about 10-60mum and the photosensitive body 22 is the photosensitive body with which the surface of the belt 21 is coated and also both edge parts of the belt 21 are coated so that they may be covered with the photosensitive body. A part 23 is an edge coated part. As to a production, the endless belt 21 made of the metallic film, which is cut in a specified width, is prepared first and then is coated with the photosensitive body 22. After a coating stage, the photosensitive body is dissolved by using solvent so that it may go round the edge in order to treat the edge part. Otherwise, the offset stopping guides 24 for preventing the belt from being damaged, which occurs because the belt is offset to right or left when the belt is driven are provided so that they may protrude from the edge parts on both sides of the endless belt. Thus, there is no danger that the user's hand is cut, and safety is enhanced. |
