The multi-purpose profiled rail (10) esp. for glasses, has a base-strip (12) on one side of which is a hooked-sectioned proturberance (16a) forming a gulley (20) running parallel to the base (12) plane in a lengthwise direction. The gulleys (20) base (26) is formed by the top of a bridge-section (18) of the proturberance (16a) running at right angles to the base (12). The base (12) possessing the proturberance (16a) has another, identical protuberance (16b) parallel to the first proturberance (16a). The front section (22) of each proturberance (16a, 16b) has a triangular cross-section leading into a cutter (24) at its free end. USE/ADVANTAGE - The position of the profiled rail, after being fixed to the wall or object can be corrected.
