PURPOSE:To decrease loss in thermal energy and reduce the drying cost by using a thermal storage unit capable of storing the heat quantity of an electric heater as a heat source for a dryer and simultaneously recovering heat of waste gases from the dryer. CONSTITUTION:A suction port 2 of a drying chamber 1 is provided with a suction duct 20 and a vent port 3 is equipped with a vent duct 30. A heat exchanger 4 capable of exchanging heat between waste gases and suction air, a suction fan 6 and an exhaust fan 7 are provided between the vent duct 30 and the suction duct 20 and a thermal storage unit 5 for storing the heat quantity produced from an electric heater with a thermal storage member is installed between the heat exchanger 4 and the suction port 2 to afford a laver dryer, which is employed to take out the previously stored heat from the thermal storage unit 5 in drying laver raw algae for use. |
