<p>PURPOSE:To enable the production of the subject cell in stable state in a short time by collecting a tissue piece from the leaf of Guinea pepper and transplanting the piece to a medium containing a specific auxin and cytokinin as plant-growth regulation substances. CONSTITUTION:A tissue piece is collected from the leaf of a Guinea pepper such as Capsicum annuum L and the piece is transplanted and cultured on a solid medium produced by mixing (A) an auxin consisting of simple 2,4- dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, a combination of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid and indoleacetic acid or a combination of alpha-naphthaleneacetic acid and indoleacetic acid and (B) a cytokinin consisting of kinetin to (C) a Murashige- Skoog medium, etc., and adding agar together with a sugar and other components to the medium. A callus cell is induced and cultured in a mass to stably produce a capsaicin-containing cell in a short time. The objective material can be produced in high efficiency and the callus-induction efficiency is high.</p> |
