PURPOSE:To make a simple and secure joint of coaxial cables by pressing and joining the inner conductor and outer conductor of a coaxial cable respectively to the central contact and main body of a connecting device. CONSTITUTION:After an application sleeve 17 is placed on a coaxial cable C, a sheath C3 and an insulator C4 are cut off to expose an inner conductor C1 and an outer conductor C2 in a specific length, and the outer conductor C2 in the braid is expanded in a trumpet form. Then, as shown in the middle figure, the outer conductor C2 is covered on the connecting surface 16c of a main body 16, while the inner conductor C1 is inserted in the hole 12a of a center contact 12, and then, the formation part of the whole 12a of the center contact 12 is calked from the directions of the arrows A1 and A2. The application sleeve 17 is slipped to fit to the periphery of the main body 16 to cover windows 16b and 16b and then, the application sleeve 17 is calked from random opposite directions, in the directions of the arrows B1 and B2, for example.
