The method of enriching a heterogeneous ore, particularly a phosphates ore, consists in breaking up the ore followed by a separation of the particles rich in phosphates and the poor particles of the broken up ore. The separation can be carried out by one or more of the methods including sieving, attrition, passing through a hydro-cyclone separator, etc. The breaking up stage comprises a stage of making the ore fragile which consists in passing the one between two cylindrical wheels (1, 2) having parallel axes of a press in order to be subjected to an intense compression at that place.
