PURPOSE:To enhance safety for running at night by controlling lighting means provided along a road in such a way that every spot in front of a vehicle is lighted as required with insufficient brightness intensified. CONSTITUTION:A device is equipped with a brightness measuring means 51 measuring brightness at every spot in front of a vehicle, a transmitting means 53 transmitting information on brightness measured by the brightness measuring means, and operating means 55 receiving information on brightness from the transmitting means provided along the road so as to operate insufficient brightness to be intensified for vehicle running at every spot in front of the vehicle, and with a lighting means 57 lighting every spot in front of the vehicle so that the load is lighted as required with insufficient brightness intensified, which is computed by the operating means, at every spot on the road to be lighted. Insufficient brightness to be intensified for vehicle running at every spot in front of the vehicle is operated, and lighting means provided along the road is controlled to intensify insufficient brightness in such a way that every spot in front of the vehicle is thereby lighted as required. |
