摘要 PURPOSE:To miniaturize a device without worsening speed change shock by starting or ending speed changing by way of changing a frictional engagement means from the perfect engagement state to the sliding state or from the sliding state to the perfect engagement state by means of varying a pattern of combination. CONSTITUTION:The chart on the left shows speed change steps principally possible to set, and at the time of putting it into practice, the speed change steps which can be excellent from the points of motive performance, acceleration and others are selected out of them and set. Concretely, the speed change steps, the speed change ratio of which comes to be in the relationships near to geometric series, are selected as main speed change steps, and the ones which are favorable in the points of speed change controllability, durability and others are selected from the ones shown in the chart as engagement and release patterns to set respective speed change steps. Thereby, at the time of speed changing, either of the frictional engagement means is changed from the perfect engagement state to the sliding state or from the sliding state to the perfect engagement state by means of varying the engagement and release pattern of the frictional engagement means to set specific speed change steps, and speed changing is started or ended.
