<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption by attracting an armature plate by the magnetic force of an electromagnet and forcibly attached to the friction face of a drive rotor so that the rotation of the drive rotor is transfered to a cam via the armature plate to give the cam rotational movement around a driven shaft. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic force of an electromagnet 5, when energized, causes an armature plate 8 to be attracted and forcibly attached to a friction face 10, to give a plate 8 rotation, which is transmitted to a cam 7 via a disc spring 20 to allow clockwise rotation of the cam 7 around a driven shaft 1. As a result, the cam face on the outer periphery of the cam 7 has contact with the inner face of a shoe 12 which is then thrusted, so that the shoe 12 is rotationally moved around a guide pin 13 against the tension of a return spring 14 to forcibly attach a friction material 16, stuck to the outer periphery of the shoe 12, to the inner periphery of a drum 9. Power transmitted to a drive rotor 2 is transmitted to the shaft 1 via the drum 9, the friction material 16, the pin 13 and a hub 11 so that the electromagnet 5 can give satisfactory rotational movement to the cam 7 through the attraction of the plate 8 and so permit its small size and capacity to result in less power consumption.</p> |
