PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of an A/D- and D/A-converting sections from a voice synthesizer to simplify the circuit and reduce the cost of the synthesizer by supplying synchronizing signals used in an exchange as synchronizing signals and sending read-out parallel data to a bus in the exchange after converting the parallel data into serial data. CONSTITUTION:At the time of making voice service, such as dead number guidance, etc., a voice output controlling signal 106 for instructing a voice output is inputted to a voice data storing ROM 112 through a control bus 103 in an exchange. Then voice data are read out from the ROM 112 at an 8-kHz period by means of a ROM readout address signal outputted from a ROM readout address generating counter 111 and outputted to a highway bus 101 in the exchange as serial signals 104 through a parallel-serial converter 113. When the voice output controlling signal 106 which instructs the completion of voice output is inputted to the ROM 112, readout of the voice data is completed. Therefore, the circuit can be simplified and the cost can be reduced, because the necessity of an A/D- and D/A converting sections is eliminated. |
