PURPOSE:To constitute the downtime of a picture forming device when copying is impossible due to the temperature of a heat fixing device lower than the fixing temperature by only performing reading of originals and storing the picture data of the originals in a picture memory and, when the temperature of the fixing device reaches or exceeds the fixing temperature, outputting the picture data for the execution of the copying process. CONSTITUTION:An original set on a contact glass plate 19 by means of an ADF (automatic original feeder) 30 is irradiated with an exposure lamp 13 and the light reflected by the original reaches a picture reading board 10 through the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd mirrors 21, 22, and 23 and image forming lens 11. At copying process disabled time (waiting time) due to the temperature of a heat fixing device 7 lower than the fixing temperature, it is informed to the operator of this picture forming device that only reading of originals is possible by displaying such messages as 'Only reading of originals is possible', etc. When the temperature of the device 7 reaches the fixing temperature and the waiting time is canceled, the stored picture data are automatically and successively read by an IPU(2) 53 from the memory 52 and printed. |
