PURPOSE:To prevent a crack of a unit cell by making the total thickness of the anode and the cathode of the unit cell as Y (mm), and the area of the unit cell as X (mm<2>), and making the X and Y satisfy a specific condition. CONSTITUTION:A unit cell 4 consists of an anode 1 being a Ni-zirconia substrate, a solid electrolyte body 2, and a cathode 3. The unit cell 4 is made by laminating the anode 1, the solid electrolyte body 2, and the cathode 3, and baking up them. When the total thickness of the anode 1 and the cathode 3 in the unit cell is made Y (mm), and the area of the unit cell is made X (mm<2>), the X and Y satisfy the formula Y>=0.005X<1/2>...(1) As a result, the total thickness of the anode and the cathode in the unit cell is increased depending on the formula (1), and a crack of the unit cell including the solid electrolyte body is prevented. In such a way, a solid electrolyte type fuel cell furnishing a unit cell of a large area and generating no crack can be provided. |
