PURPOSE:To obtain a vinyl chloride resin composition excellent in moldability and suitable for obtaining a rigid molding, excellent in rigidity, impact resistance and heat resistance by mixing a specified vinyl chloride resin with a chlorinated polyethylene and a butadiene/styrene rubber. CONSTITUTION:A resin composition comprising 100 pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin of an average degree of polymerization of 1000-2500, 6-15 pts.wt. chlorinated polyethylene and 2-7 pts.wt. butadiene/styrene rubber. When the average degree of polymerization of the above vinyl chloride resin is below 1000, the impact strength and the rigidity such as tensile modulus and bending modulus are poor, and when it is above 1500, the processability is poor unless the temperature of the molten resin during molding is raised. When this temperature is raised, the thermal deterioration is so marked that the properties inherent in the resin are impaired. This composition is desirable for obtaining various moldings such as building materials such as rain gutters and sashes, furniture, indoor appliances and outdoor appliances such as signs. |
