PURPOSE:To relieve an actuator load, to reduce capacity of a pump, and to reduce the design strength of a circuit by stopping a pump at an upper limit value in a given range varied in response to a vehicle speed and starting the pump at a lower limit value. CONSTITUTION:A controller 11 inputs an internal pressure in an accumulator 9 from a pressure sensor 10 and the running speed of a vehicle from a car speed sensor. The lower limit value of an internal pressure in the accumulator responding to a prestored running speed is retrieved from a map to decide a lower limit value responding to a running speed. When a detecting internal pressure is below the lower limit value, a pump 1 is run. Similarly, the upper limit value of the internal pressure in the accumulator is decided according to a running speed, and when the internal pressure in the accumulator 9 attains the upper limit value, the pump 1 is stopped.
