PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of overflow by installing water level detection means to a cistern, sensing a rise in a water level based on said detection means when a hot water solenoid valve is closed and detecting a water leakage in said hot water solenoid valve. CONSTITUTION:Both a bath water level control switch 99 and a bath temperature control switch 98 are used to set a bath hot water level and a bath hot water temperature. When an automatic switch 95 is turned on, a hot water solenoid valve 81 is opened so that hot water at a specified temperature may be injected into a cistern 60 from a hot water supply pipe 17 at a hot water supply function section. A hot water take out port 61 for the cistern 60 is communicated with a circulation pump 63 by actuating a three way valve 62 where the circulation pump 63 is operated so as to inject hot water from the hot water supply function section into a batch tub B by way of a hot water supply port 57 at a bath heat exchanger section 50. When the water level has reached a preset value, a bath hot water level sensor 59 senses it, the injection of hot water comes to a halt. In a water heater A with bath temperature keeping functions, when the water level in the cistern 60 keeps rising although the hot water solenoid valve 81 is closed, it is judged that the solenoid valve 81 is not closed to a satisfactory extent and the water leakage is generated. |
