<p>PURPOSE:To suppress a turbulent flow of intake air as small as possible so as to improve intake efficiency by positioning a plurality of independent intake passages, connected respectively to a plurality of cylinders, arranged along the peripheral direction so as to surround the center axis of an intake collective part in accordance with a firing order of each cylinder. CONSTITUTION:In the case of practicing the invention in a four-cylinder engine, a device is interposed in a single intake passage 3 extended in the downstream of an air cleaner 2. An intake collective part 4 of diameter enlarged a little is provided in the downstream of a throttle device 3a. This intake collective part 4 is provided in a position to one end side in the lengthwise direction further along the lengthwise direction, of the engine 1. The first to fourth cylinder independent intake passages 5 to 8 are respectively connected to the downstream of this intake collective part 4, but each independent intake passage 5 to 8 is connected so as to be positioned arranged in the peripheral direction so that a connection part to the single intake passage 3 surrounds the center axis of the intake collective part in accordance with the firing order of each cylinder. In this way, a flow of intake air in the inside of the intake collective part 4 is generated in a direction prevented from opposing to inertia force of intake air, and turbulence of the intake air is decreased.</p> |
