PURPOSE:To simply copy a clear image from a both-sided original, a book-shaped original or the like by exposing a copying material contacted to the original from the material side to form a latent image in the material and heat-transferrig the image onto an image receiving sheet. CONSTITUTION:Photosensitive layer 5 prepared by dispersing colorless dye 3 in photosensitive resin 4 is placed on light transmissive support 2 to form intermediate sheet 1. Sheet 1 is superposed on original 8 having image portion 6 and non-image portion 7 with layer 5 downward, and they are closely contacted. Layer 5 is then exposed from the back side of sheet 1 to harden photosensitive layer 5-2 of sheet 1 corresponding to portion 7. On image receiving paper 9 composed of support 10 and coupler layer 11, sheet 1 is superposed and heated to soften photosensitive layer 5-1 of sheet 1 corresponding to portion 6, whereby dye 3 contained is reacted with layer 11 to form image 12 corresponding to the original image on paper 9. |
