PURPOSE:To obtain a unit which is superior in durability and is simple optically by causing a light to pass through a transparent solid having the curved surface and by reflecting the light on the inside of the curved surface part to condense much light to one position and by taking out this condensed light through an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:Male part 5 protruded in curved rear 2 is fitted to concave 6 of receiving part 3 so that the inside wall of part 5 may be along optical fibers A and B which make an optical path, thereby forming an optical simple substance. Optical fibers A and B are led out to the outside of the fitted material through spaces 7 and 8, and a direct light source may be used as optical fiber A of light radiation out of optical fibers A and B. The optical simple substance consisting of elliptic curved surface material where optical fibers are inserted in this manner is fixed to the storage vessel for liquid to be detected; and when the optical simple substance is placed in a transparent solid having the curved surface, the light from the light source is reflected on the inside of the curved surface of the transparent solid, and the light condensed into the condensation part is detected through optical fibers. Then, the state of any optical simple substance in liquid or exposed to air, consequently, the liquid level and the liquid existence quantity are found obviously. |
