In the method for welding two overlapping tubular plastic elements together, for example a tube (14) with a pushed-on sleeve (16), the plastic elements are heated in the area of the welding point by means of an electric heating element (1, 2) and pressed together. In order to achieve a reliable welding over the entire length of the weld without requiring consumable heating elements or the like and for a simple apparatus to be sufficient for carrying out the process, the electric heating element (1, 2) is attached to the outside of the outer tubular plastic element (16), the pressing force is applied via the heating element (1, 2) and the latter is removed again once welding has been completed. <IMAGE> |
