PURPOSE:To easily obtain the source material for Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O superconductors having high superconduction transition temp. by mixing a starting material containing Pb with a calcined powder of starting material containing Ca, Sr, Bi, and Cu, and calcining the mixture. CONSTITUTION:Such a starting material is prepared that essentially consists of a compd. containing Ca, Sr, Bi, and Cu as the constitutional elements by the atomic ratio which can give the oxide superconductor expressed by the formula (0.1<=x<=0.3). After calcining this starting material, the obtd. calcined powder is mixed with a starting material essentially comprising a compd. (Pb3O4) containing Pb as a constitutional element, and then calcined to obtain the source material for the oxide superconductor expressed by the formula. By press molding this source material and calcining, the superconductor which contains lots of high-critical temp. phases comprising Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10 and shows superconducting characteristics at the temp. as high as 107K can be obtained. |
