<p>PURPOSE:To reproduce data without lowering a reproduction output and to suppress an adjacent crosstalk amount to an amount when completely tracing a track by one head constituting a multi-head as well by setting apparent head width wider than a head shaft corresponding to a ratio between the rotating number of a cylinder in the case of reproducing and the rotating number in the case of recording. CONSTITUTION:The multi-magnetic head is provided while arranging an (n) [(n) is an integer more than 2] of heads 1-3 wider than recording track width while shifting them in the breadthwise direction of recording tracks 6-8 while remaining an overlap part between the adjacent heads, and the multi-magnetic head is arranged to be rotated at (x)-fold [(x) is an integer more than 1] speed in comparison with the case of reproducing and recording. Namely, the multi-magnetic head is arranged so that the apparent head width can be wider than the head width corresponding to the ratio between the rotating number of the rotary head in the case of reproducing and the rotating number in the case of recording. Thus, data can be reproduced without lowering the output, the adjacent crosstalk amount can be suppressed to the crosstalk amount when completely tracing the track by one head constituting the multi-magnetic head as well, and an S/N is improved.</p> |
