摘要

,5 isothiazolo [2,3-a benzimidazole of formula (I) as an active ingredient. Cpd. (I) is prepd. by (a) suspending 2-(2-mercapto-3-pyridyl) benzimidazole in acetic acid, (b) Br2 dissolved acetic acid, (c) stirring the reactant for 2 hrs. at 20 deg.C, (d) treating it with ethylether (e) suspending the obtd. cpd. in 5 % NaHCO3 soln., and (f) recrystallizing it from dimethyl formamide-ethyl acetate.
