COSMETIC CAPSULE

A capsule for cosmetic materials is prepd. by hardening liq. drops consisting of a core of a lipophilic substance wrapped with a 0.5-3 wt.% aq. soln. of an alkali alginate with a 0.2-10 wt.% aq. soln. of an aluminium salt, washing with water, and adding a hydrophilic substance onto the surface of the drops. In a prepn. of the capsule, the alginate soln. and the lipophilic substance are made to pass through a double nozzle so that the soln. wraps the substance, in order to form drops. The drops are hardened with the aluminium salt soln. to form capsules. The capsules are then added with the water-soluble substance. The alginate is pref. one or a mixt. of sodium, potassium, and ammonium alginates.
