The invention relates to composite assemblies intended for repairing or remaking the underside of shoes composed of a support to be fastened (bonding or the like) and a wear plate secured to the support. According to the invention, the thickness of the support is at least 2 mm and frequently 4 mm or more for a total covering thickness of a maximum of 7 mm. Moreover, the thickness of the wear plate is smaller, the greater the total surface of the covering. Application, in particular, to coverings for the repair of shoe heels.
